Did I Meet Last Year’s Goals?
As I embark on the adventure of a new year, I look back on the goals I set for last year. The following is what I planned to do in 2025. I did not end up baking more. I want to do that this year. But I spent several months of 2025 under the weather … Continue reading Did I Meet Last Year’s Goals?
Homemaking While Exhausted
Today I had to cancel a photoshoot and miss OCIA. I am exhausted and don't feel well. I slept 15 hours a day two days in a row. Then yesterday we were out all afternoon getting the oil changed in our vehicles. My husband put me to bed at 6:30 or so because I could … Continue reading Homemaking While Exhausted
Home
We arrived home at 9 pm on NYE. We scarfed down some pizza and went to bed. A few hours later I woke up sweating with fever, so I didn't sleep much. Then the next day on the 1st I fell asleep at 2:30 pm and woke up at 5:30 am. Honestly I'm still tired … Continue reading Home
Cirque, Dinner
Tonight we went to the Cirque show in Honolulu. It was amazing! Absolutely incredible! The stunts they did were unbelievable. At one point though a guy almost fell. For a second I was scared I was going to see someone get hurt or die. But he recovered and stayed in the air, thankfully. We had … Continue reading Cirque, Dinner
In Oahu!
Our vacation so far has been wonderful. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and enjoyed the villages and the dancing and fire show at night. We also went shopping!!! Where we live there are no art stores and few book stores, so we stocked up. And of course, we have gone to the beach.
Bad Medicine, OCIA, Bible Journaling
Waking up was difficult to do this morning. Again, the medicine knocked me out. I'm not taking it tonight. OCIA was canceled today. Father C offered to teach it since I drove out for it, and one of my classmates was there already, but we all agreed it would be best to just reconvene in … Continue reading Bad Medicine, OCIA, Bible Journaling

A Lovely Sunday
I attended OCIA today and learned about the liturgical calendar. There's more to it than I really realized. Christmas isn't just one day. There are so many celebrations of different biblical things and saints in the Catholic Church that you have some special observance rather regularly. I feel a little overwhelmed and yet happy. Sometimes … Continue reading A Lovely Sunday
