Fantastic Days With Friends

Last week, my friend R and I went to the beach next to my house. I got a bit of a sunburn! It was nice to just lay out and chat.

Then on Monday I went out with my new friend, C. Her husband works under mine, and we met at a party. She was so nice! She’s from Argentina, so there is a bit of a language barrier sometimes, but that’s okay. We just use the Google translator. First we went to the fabric store. I bought way too much fabric! Fabric for painting, for collage, for photo backdrops.

I love spending time with friends! I feel so fortunate to have time to spend with them. Tomorrow I am going to R’s house.

Friends make life richer.

Today I didn’t feel well enough for Bible study, so I stayed home and rested. I mopped, painted, did dishes etc. I love knowing that I’m making my home a better place.

Great Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. My husband was home Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Friday, we drove across town to a coffee shop my husband loves. Then we got lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. Saturday was the best day of the three. We went to a gorgeous historic plantation in a state park. I got some lovely photos. Photography makes me so happy.

Sunday was all about relaxing. Saturday night I had to take medicine to help me sleep, so I slept in too late for church, unfortunately. But as a family, we hung out, watched shows, and read books. I fell in love with two collections of poetry I purchased on Sunday. I am still reading them.

I do not feel so well today, but I am grateful for my beautiful life with my family. I look forward to writing today in spite of my mood, doing some more reading, and maybe making collages. I’ve put away the laundry, so at least that’s out of the way. (Putting away laundry is my second least favorite chore, after cleaning toilets.)

Why Feminists Hate Traditional Women

It all comes down to finding a mate. Most men, if given the choice between a bossy and promiscuous career woman and a gentle homemaker, will choose the latter. Traditional women scare straight liberal women because they know we are more desirable to most men, and they don’t want to compete with traditional women on the dating market.

If men can get a nice woman who dresses pretty, stays classy, and submits, why would they seek out a screaming, blue haired, androgynous thing?

I want my daughter to have her pick of men. So I will always encourage homemaking skills, a gentle heart, and feminine dress. I inculcate her with values of home and family.
