40 year old women doing stupid dance routines. Book recommendations for books that have already been read by anyone even vaguely interested in them. Life coaches who live in their mom’s basement promising you a life of success if you just listen to them (and pay handsomely). What do all these moronic things/people have in common? They are all over tiktok , and many of these people are freaking out that tiktok may be banned in America in January. They don’t care that tiktok is a machine for Chinese propaganda and is singlehandedly dumbing down our population. They just want money for nothing and attention when they shake their asses like high schoolers.
The number of women my age on that app acting the fool is incredible. Hello, you’re somebody’s mother. No one wants to see your little dance routine. Grow up. The idea that people are complaining about banning an app from our enemies because they can’t live without the attention is incredibly depressing. Our mother’s generation would have been ashamed to act so narcissistic.
Booktok is freaking out, but honestly, who cares about booktok? If you want videos of book recommendations, there’s still youtube. Honestly, half of booktok is people saying how much they would have liked the book except the author wasn’t queer enough and the characters weren’t black enough. Does anyone even recommend books based on the quality of the literature anymore, rather than the orientation or color of the writer? We would be better off without booktok.
I hope that either the Supreme Court refuses to hear the case or that they rule against Tiktok. To the people saying it’s against free speech, half of you all have no problem with things that are against free speech as long as it supports a democrat agenda. But let’s be clear, banning a platform that comes from our enemies from infiltrating our culture is smart. It’s not the end of free speech. You can say what you want elsewhere. Get off the Chinese spy crap.
