As I embark on the adventure of a new year, I look back on the goals I set for last year. The following is what I planned to do in 2025.

- I did not end up baking more. I want to do that this year. But I spent several months of 2025 under the weather health wise, and keeping up with the cooking kept me busy enough.
- I did write another collection of poetry! I’ve been publishing on my poetry blog and my Substack.
- I have not succeeded in increasing my energy, which is part of why I did not succeed at some of my goals. In a couple lf weeks I go to the dr and hopefully can get some help. I’ve lost movement in a small joint, my vision still goes double or blurry, and I haven’t been able to walk far or fast in years without ending up in agony.
- See number 3. I’ve downloaded some workout apps I want tl try this year, and in 2025 I did do some dance workouts.
- We moved to the island, and I have been appreciating its beauty.
- I think I made progress here. I have learned to be more comfortable without makeup. I have accepted compliments from my husband without argument. If he thinks I’m cute, who am I to argue?
- I did this!
- I did this too.
- I attempted to do this but often fell short. Once again, I renew my vow to make the most of each day.
- I definitely prayed more! I want to pray more still, but I think I prayed more in 2025. I studied scripture more too.
- I tried to do this before we moved but didn’t get to get it off the ground.
So 2025 was a partial success. I definitely achieved some of what I set out to, but I did not meet all 11 goals.
