Lovely Weekend, Lovely Week

We went to the same church as last week today. The pastor preached boldly from scripture about wives submitting to their husbands and husbands loving their wives sacrificially. It makes me excited to go back. I emailed about getting involved with some volunteering. This weekend was lovely. We took care of errands together, but more importantly, we spent a lot of time talking and laughing. We went to the movies too.

This week will be busy. I might make a couple of new dishes, including chorizo enchiladas and maybe a pizza pasta bake. I’m hoping C likes what I make.

A is coming home next Saturday after midnight. I dread going to the airport alone that late to pick her and my dad up, but I am so excited to be reunited with my daughter! I can’t wait to see my dad too. Sadly, he is only stopping for a day, but it will be good to see him and hug him. Unfortunately my mom isn’t coming, so I won’t see her this weekend. But I am so thrilled dad is coming, and I’m getting A back.

This week, I’m facetiming my mom, doing lectio divina with a friend, and Molly has her vet appointment. I hope to volunteer at the shelter again if there’s time. If not, it might be a couple of weeks until I volunteer because I have to get A ready to start school, and I want to spend time with her. Middle school will be a huge transition. I can’t believe my baby is done with elementary school, but she is. She’s becoming a young woman. We couldn’t be more proud. I just want to soak in the time I have left with her before she grows up and starts a family of her own.
