A man has the right to set rules for his family, including his wife. Feminism often pushes egalitarian relationships, but this is not biblical. Scripture calls on women to submit to their husbands, not the other way around.
This doesn’t mean major decisions shouldn’t be discussed. A wise man will hear his wife out and consider her counsel. But sometimes he might make a decision contrary to his wife’s opinion, and when he does, she should obey. This isn’t popular to say, but it’s true. Submission brings so much peace to a marriage.
Men shouldn’t micromanage their wives, but just because something is a small issue to you doesn’t mean it is to your husband.
When you submit to your husband, you can be sure that you are doing what God wants you to do, as long as your husband is not asking you to sin. You should always refuse to sin. But other things, like where you live and what you wear, can be determined by your man. That can bring you peace if you let it.
