I Used to Be On the Right

How have your political views changed over time?

I used to be on the right, but now I’m on the far right. I used to believe in equality. Now I believe in traditional gender roles. Men and women are equal in value but different in purpose. Men belong in the workforce and women belong in the home. I always knew I wanted to stay home with my children, but assumed I would work until they were born and then again when they started school. Now I stay at home to be a full time homemaker, which I began as soon as I was married in the few months before I got pregnant.

I voted for Obama in his first presidential election. Since then I have not voted for any democrats. Burn me once shame on you. Burn me twice however, and the shame is mine.

I used to believe that Christians could be found on either side of the American political divide. but after observing the far left antics of the American Democrat party, which is barely distibguishable from the Communist party, I realize you cannot be a Christian and a Democrat. You can not be “pro choice” (It’s not a choice; It is a living human being), and follow Christ. You cannot support communist or socialist parties and worship Christ. Christ came to set the captives free, not to enslave us in Communist ghettoes. Christianity recognizes the sanctity and value of the individual, and the Democrat party does not. A baby is only a person if it is wanted by another person. Free speech is only okay as long as no one is saying anything you disagree with. Sin should be public spectacle but virtue should be private. It’s all disgusting and rotten and run by the same demons.

Your average Republican does not go far enough in standing up for virtue and supporting our free, capitalist society (only capitalism allows freedom). I like a few of them, but most either lack conviction or vision.

Call evil out for what it is. There is a right and a wrong, and if you are voting for the left, you are voting for evil. There is no moral ambiguity here. Either you’re okay with mutilating the genitalia of ch!ldren, or you’re not. If you’re not, don’t vote Democrat. Either you think women’s sports are a free-for-all for every failed male athlete, or you think that women’s supports belong to those who actually have XX chromosomes. If you think only actual women should play women’s sports, don’t vote Democrat. Either you like a centralized, all-powerful federal government, or you don’t. If you don’t want the federal government intruding in on your life, then don’t vote Democrat. Leave more power in the hands of the States. Let local elections determine the laws of the land because we are all much better represented in local elections.

In short, if we envision the political spectrum as a long horizontal line, I used to be right of center. Now, at this point you have to Crane your neck to see me. I’m all the way over there ->.

  1. How do you reconcile the deep republican support of the death penalty with your pro life views?

    Are you a Trump supporter?

    1. Easy. a baby is innocent. a baby has done nothing wrong. a baby is entitled to life. somebody who has murdered someone else is not innocent, has done something very wrong, and has 4 fitted their life with their actions. I don’t understand anybody who would compare a murderer or a rapist to an innocent baby. as for Trump, he’s not my favorite, but i’d rather have him than a Democrat.

      1. While I do agree that murderers and rapists deserve the worst torture imaginable, you can’t call yourself pro-life if you support the death penalty and/or guns. Pro-life is SUPPOSED to mean all lives are equal and valid, and that logic applies to all humans, even the awful ones. Just call it what it is. Pro-forced birth.

      2. Totally disagree. I don’t believe in pro-life because I think all lives are equal and valid. I believe that innocent lives that have not yet done anyone wrong should be protected. If you have for instance, taken the life of another, your value is void. There is a difference between a death row killer and a newborn baby. And it absolutely scares me to think that you don’t see that.
