I woke up at 3 am with a headache and nausea. After drinking a lot and taking headache medicine I was able to get back to sleep. Then I woke up half an hour early from a dream. In the dream, I used tubes of watercolor on tissue paper to make something layered and beautiful. … Continue reading Dream

Wet Day
I am inside today, not exactly enjoying the weather. The snow flurries have been lovely, but nothing is sticking, so it's really just a wet, cold day. I am not well today. It's been a long week. I just wanted to share some abstract photos of light that I took this afternoon! I love light … Continue reading Wet Day
Old Flat Lays
I really want to get back into taking pretty flat lay still lifes. Taking photos of photos is fun to me! I need to find some pretty materials to put around the photos though. Stickers, sequins, feathers, rhinestones, thread etc. I have a ton of photos to choose from, but I don't think I have … Continue reading Old Flat Lays

Seminary Reading

I am going from class to class, finding the required reading, and adding it to my Amazon. So much fascinating material on the intersection of Christianity and creativity! Reading these books … Continue reading Seminary Reading

Digital Art Journaling
I have been trying to create digital art journaling pages for therapeutic purposes. They are a blend of scrapbooking supplies, collage cut outs I've made, digital stickers, and textures added in Procreate. I am doing everything I can to get myself on an upswing. Nothing fancy or professional, but making them is helpful.
Abstract Creations
Today I did some therapeutic paintings and took some abstract photos. Abstraction is so freeing. I know I should learn to make more realistic art, but even when I am browsing in museums, the first art I'm drawn to is always the abstract stuff. I love the liberation of color and texture from reality. If … Continue reading Abstract Creations
