We had a wonderful day! I hope you do too, reader. C cooked! He usually cooks on the holidays. His food is excellent. I definitely can’t diet over Thanksgiving and Christmas! We had manicotti and fish and biscuits and pie and potatoes, etc.
It’s been a relaxing day. I did a little embroidery for the first time in months. I’ve also been collecting materials for digital collages. Every time I tell myself that collage is silly and I start to walk away from it, I always come back to it. I enjoy tactile collage work, but digital is my favorite.
I need to find Christmas gifts for my parents and inlaws and friends. So far, I have no ideas except for my dad’s gift. In our immediate family, we aren’t doing gifts, most likely. Instead, we are taking a vacation for Christmas. I’m very excited!

I am debating writing a new poetry chapbook and maybe making a zine out of it. The subject? The color pink! I’ve become obsessed! Hot pink, neon pink, pastel pink, rose, baby pink, and so on. I want to commune with pinkness. I want to connect with the powerful femininity and concurrent lasciviousness of some shades. Pair pink with black, and you get powerful female eroticism. Pair it with yellow and get daintiness and sweetness. It’s a feminine yet versatile color. Not feminine in the sense that men can’t love it, but that my inner female experience is often a shade of pink. It has a sort of feminine note to it, sweet and soft like a box of chocolates and a new sweater.
