The movers come to start packing our house tomorrow, so L’s last day with us is today. Her coordinator will be picking her up today. Having an exchange student has been a wonderful cultural experience, and L has become family to us.
We wanted to take her out for a nice lunch, but the car we didn’t ship is in the shop later than expected, so we can’t go anywhere. I’m very disappointed about that. We wanted to take her some place nice or where we have memories.
I’ve been packing suitcases all morning. One suitcase has a bunch of art supplies. Our stuff that goes with the movers won’t arrive for a while, so I want to bring as much as I can with me.
