My daughter A had the day off today, but my husband and our exchange student did not, so it was just A and I. So we bonded! We got Taco Bell for lunch and then went on a shopping spree to the fabric store since it’s closing soon. I got so much fabric! I got embroidery supplies too! A got markers and paint pens. A is such a good shopping buddy! Now we are at home watching funny Charlotte Dobre videos.
We needed this bonding time. It’s so hard when she’s in school. Homeschooling gave us so much more time together, but sadly it wasn’t working well for A. Her school is wonderful. She’s learning a lot. But I really miss having the time with her during the week.
Now our exchange student L will be home soon, so we will all hang out. I hope my husband gets off soon to start our Valentine’s Day. We go all out more for anniversaries and birthdays and Mother’s/Father’s Days more than Valentine’s Day, but I still hope it will be nice.
