C took me out to lunch today while A went on a playdate to a classmate’s house. It’s always nice to get out of the house just the two of us. We had invited L to go with us, but she had homework and things she wanted to do. So we lucked into a date.
After we ate, we went to the central branch of the library. I got at least a dozen books! The selection was so much better than it is in our local library. I give up on that place! But I got art books – both books about art and also how to books.
The three Artful Blogging magazines I ordered arrived today, so between that and the library I have a ton of reading to do. On top of that, I went to the bookstore yesterday just to get out of the house for a while. (I love being at home, but it can be nice to get out.) While there I got two more magazines and 3 books. So essentially I will be doing a lot of reading over Christmas break
The girls are done with school until after the New Year. Monday C has work though, so it will be just the girls and I that day. I haven’t decided what we’re doing.
I spent a good portion of the week in bed, so it feels good to be up and around. Yesterday I was only up part of the day (and went to Barnes and Noble). The two days before that I was basically just in bed. I never felt more worn out. I don’t know what was wrong with me. But now I have catch up cleaning to do.
