Other than ending up at the dentist, the past 3 days have been relaxing. We wanted to go to the fireworks in the city on Independence Day, but it rained. That was disappointing. But we have spent a ton of time together as a family. Tomorrow my husband is taking us on a surprise site seeing trip. I don’t know where we’re going, but I’m excited to take my new instant camera out to shoot, as well as a camera with some psychedelic blues film. That stuff is lovely.
Tonight, my husband and daughter are watching the Back to the Future series. I’m beside them, alternating between making collages and reading great books. One is a volume of contemporary Chinese science fiction short stories, and the other is a fascinating book about plants. Plants can learn, remember, recognize relatives, and more. This book is fascinating. It’s called “The Light Eaters.” I highly recommend it
I have quit using Adobe products to create because of their (evil) new terms and conditions. I’m learning to work with other programs and apps, but it is a bit of a process.

These are two I made today with the new program. Below are a few I made with Adobe. I loved Adobe, especially Photoshop Mix. But never again. I don’t care that I’m not some great, famous artist. I don’t want my work used for AI or any other corporate purpose. Adobe products are far from free, so to make money on stealing people’s work is really low. And they introduced the subscription model for their software, ending people’s ability to actually own their software.

Adobe will never get another dollar from me.
