We have changed our minds about homeschooling next year. Long story, but we decided that homeschooling would not be best for A for now. So now we are between two different schools to send her to. One is a clear first choice, but we haven’t interviewed with them yet. The other school is also very nice and we have met them. Either school will give her a good education, but we strongly feel that one of them would be the best fit.
I will be sad not to have the extra time with A, but this is for the best, I think. So now I need to make the most of the remaining summer days with her. July should be fun! Missing my baby sucks, but these schools are really good. I think she’ll have a fantastic year.
Monday night we had our family interview/home check with the exchange student coordinator. Yes, we have decided to welcome a sweet girl from Spain into our home next year. It will be A’s first experience of having a sister. Needless to say, she is excited. We have the girl’s bedroom and bathroom prepared. We look forward to meeting her at the airport in August! We have one more form to send in today, and then we should be able to Skype with her soon too. Praying for a good year for her and us. We are really looking forward to it.
