Our vacation has been wonderful. Yesterday we went to the Salvador Dali museum. Seeing his art again was incredible (MY husband and I visited before on a romantic trip years ago), and I got new books I’m excited about. One is biographies of surrealists, one is about Leonora Carrington….and one is letters between Lorca and Dali! One of my all time favorite poems is by Lorca. I’m really enjoying these books.
Today we went to the aquarium and the history museum nearby. The aquarium (just aquariums in general) is one of my favorite places on Earth. Watching sharks swim is so peaceful. I touched rays and starfish. And I wrote poetry at the history museum. Poetry has been pouring out of me the whole trip. I’m making great progress on my book.
Now it’s raining, and we’re resting at the cottage. I look forward to a night of reading, writing, and relaxing. I’d hoped to do some embroidery, but I forgot my scissors!
