Christmas Break

I have loved having my daughter home from school most of this week, and I’m loving my husband’s four day weekend right now. I have done almost all my Christmas shopping

I don’t think I have mentioned this before, but I recently started a trad wife tumblr. I don’t write about my daily life there like I do here, but I do post trad and patriarchal content there. To be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about it. A lot of the people liking me and reblogging my stuff are into kink. I’m writing through a Christian lense. I don’t really want to support anything dirty.

My diet is getting serious. I’m really sticking to it. I am determined to lose more weight. Yesterday I splurged on seafood because my husband took us all to a restaurant, but in the evening I was good and had nothing but water.

This weekend will be filled with reading, working on my book, painting, and embroidery. Since it is a holiday weekend, I will be keeping the housework to a minimum. Everyone deserves a day off – including homemakers. Obviously dishes still have to get done, but mopping, laundry, dusting etc can wait until after Christmas. My husband is cooking a lavish Christmas dinner. That’s our tradition. My husband cooks amazing meals on the holidays. Stuffed shells and honeybutter biscuits and fish and more. He’s a talented chef and loves to cook.

After the New Year I am starting up an embroidery/sewing/quilting group. I have several people interested in joining. Hopefully we can all agree on a time and a day.
