Staying Sexy for My Husband

I want to look my best for my husband. Every wife should endeavor to be beautiful and sexy for her husband. Part of that is watching your weight. In my case, I don’t have to lose much because my husband likes me as is. But I want to be someone he can show off. I want his friends and coworkers to know my husband got a beautiful woman because that’s what he deserves. To that end, I am losing weight.

My mobility is limited because of an ankle surgery gone wrong, but there are some things I can do (besides eating less. I am eating a lot less). I downloaded a couple of dance apps on my phone, and last night, I got an ab dance workout through DanceFitMe. It was fun, made me get my heart rate up, and I could do it in my living room without any equipment whatsoever. I am going to dance every weekday.

Do you watch your weight for your husband? What kind of exercise do you do? Have you tried dance?

It’s often unpopular to talk about weight control among women because there’s this idea that your husband should love you no matter what you weigh, and that’s true. He should. But men are visual. It’s hard for some men to be attracted to someone who is too overweight. If you want him to drool over you, you need to look like a snack. And that means eating fewer snacks.

Of course, some men like fluffy women and others simply like women in general, but most men want their wives to look at least somewhat like they did when they met. After children, years of medication, health problems, and/or stress, that can be hard to do. Have patience with yourself, and show yourself the grace God gives you as you try to stay pretty for your husband. But put in the effort.
