My husband gets home from El Salvador tomorrow night. I haven’t been on top of my homemaking. I started the week extremely depressed. As of yesterday I was starting to perk up, but I haven’t been sleeping great at night so I’ve been sleeping a lot during the day.
My father in law goes home tomorrow morning, and between the time he leaves and the time my husband comes home I have some things I want to get done.
1. Soak and wash our Sodastream bottles.
2. Mop the floor.
3. Empty dishwasher.
4. Pick up the sofas.
5. Clean up paint pouring supplies from the dining room table and put the paint back in the box, ready for Craig to take upstairs.
If I get these tasks done I’ll feel like an accomplished homemaker. I just need a burst of energy. I’m always tired.
Still, homemaking now is easier than it was when my daughter was small. Now I have a little person who can help instead of a little person who can only make messes. I will let her do the rest of the paint pouring. I don’t feel up to it.
