A Book with Breadth and Depth

This collection of prose poetry features some of the greatest writers to ever use the form. As a student of the form, I am learning so much from the variety of styles and voices in The Penguin Book of the Prose Poem. On the front it even says it ranges from Baudelaire (one of the first poets I ever fell in love with) to Anne Carson, who I also love. I was introduced to her work in college, and she is so inventive. This book is like taking a college course on the subject. I have so much to learn for my own writing.

I recommend this book for novices and the initiated alike.
